BEST ALBUM COVER
Award to the Designer(s). This category is also open to Foreign Designer(s) of local album covers.
Criteria: - Concept
- Graphics
- Photography
- Art direction
- Layout
- Production and design facilities must be in Malaysia

BEST ENGINEERED ALBUM
Award to the Engineer(s). This category is also open to Foreign Engineer(s) of local albums.
Criteria: - Recording
- Seperation
- Mixing
- Mastering
- Basic recording must be done in a Malaysian studio
- Mix and mastering allowed overseas

BEST MUSIC VIDEO
Award to the Video Director(s) (open to Foreigners). For an individual track or single promotional clip.
Criteria: - Concept
- Cinematography
- Art direction and editing
- Producing facilities must be in Malaysia

BEST ETHNIC POP ALBUM
Award to the Artist (Malaysian). This category is for solos, duos, groups, vocal or instrumental and includes Nusantara, Asli and Ethnic music.
Criteria: - Must have traditional elements (including Nusantara, Asli and Ethnic music)
- Judging will be based on application of genre
- Song quality
- Musical arrangement
- Recording and production quality
- Vocal presentation (where applicable)
- 60% Malay repertoire
- 60% composed by Malaysian
- Basic recording must be done in a Malaysian studio
- Mix and mastering allowed overseas

BEST DANGDUT ALBUM
Award to the Artist (Malaysian). For solos, duos or group performance, in Dangdut genre.
Criteria: - Application of Dangdut as a genre
- Song quality
- Musical arrangement
- Recording and production quality
- Vocal presentation (where applicable)
- 60% Malay repertoire
- 60% composed by Malaysian
- Basic recording must be done in a Malaysian studio
- Mix and mastering allowed overseas
