BEST NASYID ALBUM
Award to Artist (Malaysian). For solos, duos or group performanc Nasyid genre.
Criteria: - Application of Nasyid as a genre
- Song quality
- Musical arrangement
- Recording and production quality
- Vocal presentation (where applicable)
- 60% Malay repertoire
- 60% composed by Malaysian
- Basic recording must be done in a Malaysian studio
- Mix and mastering allowed overseas

BEST ROCK ALBUM
Award to Artist (Malaysian). This category is for solos, duos or groups, vocal or instrumental, and includes Hard Rock, Metal, Thrash, Alternative, etc.
Criteria: - Judging will be based on application of Rock as a genre (inclusive of Heavy Metal,
Thrash, Alternative, etc.)
- Song quality
- Musical arrangement
- Recording and production quality
- Vocal presentation (where applicable)
- 60% Malay repertoire
- 60% composed by Malaysian
- Basic recording must be done in a Malaysian studio
- Mix and mastering allowed overseas

BEST POP ALBUM
Award to Artist (Malaysian). This category is for solos, duo or group, vocal or instrumental and includes Rap, Dance, Techno, R&B, etc.
Criteria: - Judging will be based on application of Pop as a genre (inclusive of Rap, Dance, Techno, R&B, etc.)
- Song quality
- Musical arrangement
- Recording and production quality
- Vocal presentation (where applicable)
- 60% Malay repertoire
- 60% composed by Malaysian
- Basic recording must be done in a Malaysian studio
- Mix and mastering allowed overseas

BEST NEW ARTIST (ENGLISH)
Award to the Artist (Malaysian) with an English album. This category is for a new Artist, solo
(male or female) and group who releases the first recording which establishes the public
identity of the Artist.
Criteria: - Image
- Presentation
- Vocal ability
- Must be first album
- 60% English repertoire

BEST LOCAL ENGLISH ALBUM
Award to the Artist (Malaysian) for English Album featuring solos, duos or groups.
Criteria: - Song quality
- Musical arrangement
- Recording and production quality
- Vocal presentation
- 60% composed by Malaysian
- Basic recording must be done in a Malaysian studio
- Mix and mastering allowed overseas
