Chinese AIM is an event that was conceived to give recognition and to honour artistic and technical excellence in music. The event, which is now in itšs second year, was introduced to encourage our creative talent to strive higher and also to showcase the quality of Chinese music in Malaysia.Our local creative talent in song composition, arrangements, musicians and Artiste are already well exposed in the Hong Kong and Taiwanese markets.
This is proof that the creative talent that exists in our local Chinese music industry has what it takes to compete in the global market. We need to recognise this and support them.
Started in 1999, the inaugural Chinese AIM was held at the Arena of the Stars, Genting Highlands on October 1999 and was televised "live" by Astrošs Wah Lai Toi channel a first for any local Chinese Awards Show. The event saw 4,500 Chinese music fans pack the venue to see our local Artistes perform and receive their awards.
