![]() As we approach the glittering Anugerah Industri Muzik 2001 (AIM 2001) in recognition of local artistes' contribution to the music industry, talk about the awards ceremony is heating up.
Two candidates of AIM 2001, Hattan and Amir UK's, when met at the Recording Industry of Malaysia (RIM) office on April 16, stressed that the awards don't guarantee the long-term success of an artiste in the industry. Hattan, who is known as an artiste with frank views, offers a different perspective about such recognition. For him, the awards seemed like predicting the career of an artiste.
