| Lately, recording companies are churning out an increasing number of cover version albums. In fact, three cover version albums find their way for nomination for the Anugerah Industri Muzik 2001 (AIM 2001) -- Hattan (Aku dan Mentor), Amy (Suatu Masa) and rock group Kamikaze with their latest album, Inspirasi. Bernama Infotainment has the chance to interview two of the four-member group, Kamikaze recently seeking their comments on cover albums and the surging of 'clone' artistes in the local music scene. Sham (guitar) and Amy (drum), when met at New Southern Records Sdn Bhd (NSR) office concede that many old tunes are still cherished and remained popular because of their originality.
